The Berkey Light is more than just a water filter its a water purification system. Made ofhigh impact and shatter proof non PBA co-polyester, the unit comes standardwith two of Berkeys proprietary Black Berkey® Filters, but can accept up tofour. Utilizing two Black Filters, the unit can filter about 4 gallons of waterper hour, which makes it an excellent choice to fit the water needs of a familyof four or five. The water purification system is completely passive andrequires no power of any kind. Simply pour unfiltered water in the top half ofthe unit, and Berkeys Light Filter does the rest, filtering out harmfulbacteria, chemicals, viruses, contaminants, pathogens, and everything else,leaving you with crystal clean and pure water. The water treatment process isso thorough, it can even filter out food coloring it really is the best waterpurifier out there! 

With a service life of 6000 gallons for two Black Berkey® Filters,the Berkey Light Filter ensures you will have plenty of fresh drinking waterfor a long time to come. Dont think of this filter purely as an emergencywater filter or something that goes in your bug out bag this filter isperfect for everyday use. Its small footprint of 9 diameter and 26½ tall (with base) means you can store it just about anywhere. Filters raw water fromstagnant pools, lakes, streams, or even plain old tap water.
